The Year of My Life

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” ― Edith Love Joy

How many people are saying 2019 will be “the year of my life”?

I call this the resolution season and for good reason.  Many people have great intentions to lose weight, stop a habit, start a new job, be a better spouse, take a dream vacation or save a lot of money.  All are great ideas and I am sure thought out with determination and intent.  The reality is that 80% of all people who make new year resolutions fall off the wagon sort of speaking by the end of January.

I believe these people really did have the intent to accomplish their goal and make the new year different.  I think people if given the choice and do not have a mental health issue, will choose to do the things that will get them what they want.  They just don’t know how and for those who don’t know how but want to make the new year different, I recommend you hire a coach. Someone who can help you stay on task and help make 2019 “the year” of your “life”.  The coach serves as an external force that Said’s “you are not going back”.  They are the ally that you need on our side.  The other option if you still don’t see the value of a coach while falling short of your goal year after year, is to do something different than before and to do it now.
