Love Is
“This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that someone lay down his life for his friends. ~ John 15:12-17

Our church is in the middle of this series called what love is, and it is about how God’s love for us under the new covenant requires us to do nothing more than to love him with all of ourselves. We prove this by loving others (our neighbors the same), which is why we have freedom because God wants us to choose him freely.
In every situation, in every circumstance, from your boss pissing you off at work to your spouse driving you crazy, ask, “what does love require.” If your kids push your buttons or your students, don’t listen to you anymore, ask, “what does love require.” If your players are not doing what you are requesting, ask, “what does love require.” If the coach makes the wrong decision on who to play, “what does love require.” If your best friend threw you under a bus in front of others, ask, “what does love require.”
If any of these situations presents itself to you, ask the question,” what does love require of me?” Then do it!
