May 8, 2020 “Mothers are like glue. Even when you can’t see them, they’re still holding the family together.” —Susan Gale

The life story of Thomas Edison is pretty fascinating by itself, but the one about his mother is even more amazing. He was given a letter by his teacher with the instruction not to open it and make sure only to give it to his mom. When his mom opened it and read it, she began to cry, when he asked what did the letter say, his mother told him the message said he was a genius and would need to stay home and be taught by her.

Years later, after his mom had passed, he found the letter, which said, please keep your son home, he is mentally ill, and we cannot do anything for him. His mother’s love and belief changed Edison and the world.

Who can you pour into to help change what they believe about themselves?
