Last week I challenged you to Stop Playing Around.
So, I am still wondering why people do the same thing, year after year, and wonder why they get the same results.
Oh yeah, we do have a term for that, its called insanity.
Just this week I had a teenage softball client when asked about their plans after high school, which is only 18 months away, throw her hands up and say, “I don’t want to think about it, I don’t want to talk about it.”
The future comes if we are so blessed to have breath, and if we are not ready for it, it will leave us in the dust.
Successful people are lucky and talented, they keep going after failure. They have a ferocious determination that plays out in two ways: 1) Unusually Resilient and 2) They know what they want.
Knowing what you want is the key.
We are always dreaming and setting goals, but these dreams and goals are they your own or are they things that get planted in your subconscious by friends, family, television or social media?
Simon Sinek, author, and motivational speaker calls it Start with Why, Steve Harvey, comedian, radio and television mogul calls it finding our purpose, Matthew Kelly a New York Times bestselling author calls it Becoming-the-best-version-of-yourself.
In my workshops, I show people how to dream into existence the life they imagine. There is something magical that happens when you set goals directly from dreams.
Goal setting is the most important of all personal improvement ideas, they give you a sense of purpose and direction, a process to keep score, and the confidence that only comes from knowing where you’re going.
See you at my Goal Setting Workshop on February 2, 2018.
