Make Something Happen

September 21, 2018

“Never be complacent about the current steps; don’t agree and follow the status quo. Be determined that you are making an indelible impact with great change. Now, dress up and go to make it happen!”
― Israelmore Ayivor.”

I love when other successful people talk about subjects that are important to me. I especially like when those people include one of my professional mentors. Darren Hardy in his Darren Daily this morning gave some great points on what we need to “DO” to become successful.
A lot of people I know are focused on their own personal development. They spend hours in networking groups, attend meetings of organizations and companies that teach networking professionally and they read self-help book after self-help book.

Darren Hardy goes as far as to say he would rather hear about someone reading the first chapter of a book then putting it down to try to do something they just read as opposed to reading book after book and never trying something.

I know from personal experience people who read something I have shared with them only to do nothing with it.

So…Make something happen when reading information that requires actions. Read with a purpose, with a problem to solve in mind, then apply what you read.

Find an expert or the author of the book you read and ask them what you need to do to “make something happen”. Lastly, after reading what to do, go out and do it. Try things that you read while pushing for excellence!
