Look for the Good

“If you don’t like something, change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.” –Mary Engelbreit

I must thank my mom for helping me see the world thru a positive lens. I often tell the story of growing up, I had no idea that we were poor, and that food stamps and government county checks were not a good sign. However, because we focused on what we got when we received the government help, we didn’t have time to focus on why we needed them. The last couple of months have been eye-opening for me in ways that are not surprising, especially in the year of Covid-19. But so many people focus on what’s wrong and what negative thing that could happen. Like my mom taught me, if you make it up anyway, make it, so the most favorable result happens.
