The 100Percent Life

“Vulnerability is the core of all emotions and feelings. To feel is to be vulnerable. To believe that vulnerability is weakness is to believe that feeling is weakness” — Brene Brown.

In her book, Daring Greatly, Brene Brown writes, “the world has never been an easy place, but the past decade has been traumatic for so many people that it has made changes to our culture.” She went on to give some examples like 9/11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I am sure she would add to that list the current pandemic, Coronavirus.

So, my question now, as it was with those past events, so what, now what? We should still be striving, planning, and wanting to live a “wholehearted” life. I call this the 100percent life, and it is what I coach people to do.

So how do we live the 100percent life? First, spend time using your greatest gift, your imagination, and meditate on all things good and positive. Think about what makes you feel good deep inside and imagine what life looks like if the world was going to conspire to help you make all of your dreams and goals come true. Second, journal what those dreams and goals are and then write an action step for that first thing that came up for you. Third, write an affirmation (something good you believe about yourself, even in times of doubt) supporting that great feeling that starts with the phrase, “I am…”. Lastly, place in your bedroom, bathroom, or on a vision board, pictures, or phrases that remind you that are on the road to your 100percent life.
