“Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can’t.” – Jerry Rice
Top performers do their best when they operate in what we all heard before called the zone. We all hear about the zone but what is it and how does one play in the “zone”? Being in the zone starts with having a solid routine that you do without fanfare, over and over and over, until it is part of your fiber. This routine happens quietly when no one is watching without interruption and it has nothing to do with the actual sport, job or event. It is as simple as getting up every morning practicing gratitude before getting out of bed, brushing your teeth and then drinking 16ounces of water, eating some protein as your first meal of the day, getting some movement or stretching done to wake up and activate your muscles. Then jump start your mind by reading or listening to a mind feeding podcast. Start your day with a routine to get in the zone.
